Deadly crash follows home invasion

(WICU) A home invasion that led to a high-speed chase came to a deadly end in Wayne Township, Pennsylvania Thursday.

When Michael Peck arrived at his house following an appointment around 11:00 a.m., he realized something wasn’t right.

“I drove down my driveway, saw my dog outside, which he’s locked inside the house, so that’s kind of odd,” said Peck. “I walked up to the door, the door was ajar, so I opened the door, and I pretty much saw my entire living room trashed.”

Peck then went outside and called 911.

“No sooner did I dial 911, the suspects pulled out around the back of my house, and were headed out the driveway,” said Peck.

Police soon spotted the suspects in a 2003 Mazda 6 Sedan and a chase ensued. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the car was traveling up to 100 miles an hour when it lost control and crashed into a tree.

Four men inside the vehicle were killed instantly. Another male who was ejected from the vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
