Polish food celebrated at Chicopee’s Kielbasa Fest

The Kielbasa Festival continues through Monday

The Kielbasa Festival opened Thursday at Szot Park in Chicopee.

There are more than 15 brands of kielbasa at the festival, along with live polka music. There’s even a kielbasa eating contest!

If Polish-themed activities aren’t your thing, there’s also other food and live music, along with carnival rides and games.

22News talked to the general manager of Chicopee’s Collegian Court. She told us what’s on the menu at the fest. “We are doing our Polish plate. So it’s two pierogi; one potato and cheese and one cabbage, you get a golumpki, a link of kielbasa, kapusta, and rye bread. People come to have a good time so I think everyone’s having a good time.”

The Kielbasa Festival continues through Monday.
