Cold temperatures forecasted for Wednesday night, brings a chance of seeing frost Thursday morning

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Berkshire Counties in effect at 1 AM Thursday morning until 8 AM Thursday morning.

A Frost Advisory is posted when frost is possible to form.

Thunderstorms that contained gusty winds, some downpours, and lots of lightning rolled through parts of western Massachusetts Tuesday night, leaving behind much cooler and breezier conditions.

Temperatures are forecasted to go down into the mid 30’s Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, allowing for a chance of frost to form.

Any vegetation and/or plants that are sensitive to the colder temperatures should be brought inside, especially those plants that are potted.

If you are concerned about any plants that are unable to bring inside, you may want to cover them Wednesday night.

Stay with the 22News Storm Team as they continue to track this advisory.
