Police threat leads to weapons bust

(WESH) Deputies in Marion County, Florida have seized a large stash of guns, ammunition and drugs.

Deputies executed a search warrant after receiving a tip that a rocket launcher was going to be used to target Eustis police.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, they received a tip from a Lake County Jail inmate that illegal firearms and explosives were being stored in a shed, and the Eustis Police Department was going to be targeted because of recent run-ins with officers.

Detectives obtained a search warrant and found 22 firearms, several containers of black powder, over a pound of marijuana, powder and crack cocaine, prescription pills, scales, two bullet proof vests and other drug paraphernalia.
