HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Two people have been killed in what police say are unrelated shootings in Hartford.
Deputy Police Chief Brian Foley said each of the victims appeared to have been targeted, and there is no danger to the public.
A woman was found shot at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday on George Street in the South End. She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. One witness who was interviewed by police tells the Hartford Courant he heard three shots, a pause and then a fourth shot.
Early Saturday morning, a 28-year-old man was found shot at 602 Mary Shepard Place. Police said they got a call just before 3 a.m. that a man was lying in the road. He had been shot in the head.
