CHICOPEE, Mass (WWLP) — The Barden College Bellas still sing up a storm in the very agreeable sequel, “Pitch Perfect 2”.

The sisterhood is still in good voice meeting new challenges without wearing out their welcome like most sequels.

After a regrettable on stage disaster, the Bellas are in jeopardy of seeing their world collapse.

This high spirited salute to young women bonding walks a tight rope balancing its good hearted playfulness with a thin premise.

How can they rise above disgrace to challenge the arrogance of Germany’s Acapella world champions?

As overly familiar as it might seem, you can’t help being swept up by the mischievous nature of these likeable characters.

And now there’s a new Bella on board. The rising star Hailee Steinfeld, who displays on the rambunctious charm that fits right in.

“Pitch Perfect 2” hits all the high notes for a movie going crowd that yearns for simpler times.

The Bellas will delight you with their singing and their warmhearted spirit.

I enjoyed “Pitch Perfect 2” so much, they may want to sing about Sy giving the Bella a rousing 3 stars.

And if your husband or boyfriend first balk at seeing this date night treat, go ahead and convince them and they’ll soon be singing a different tune.
