15th annual Big Rig Day held in Easthampton

The honking horns served as a pied piper to peak a child's curiosity

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – There’s always been something about the influence big trucks have on the attention of the young.

Which is probably why the 15th annual Big Rig Day attracted so many families today in the town of Easthampton.

The big rigs parked near Town Hall and the public safety complex were a mecca for the young. The Hampshire county kids told 22News what the annual big rig day means to them. “What I like about big rig day is that I get to go in the big bucket,” said Hannah Guertin of Easthampton.

“This is actually my fourth is when I went with my uncle Todd”, said Carlos Salpat of Easthampton.

Even without making plans to spend time admiring the big rigs, the honking horns served as a pied piper to peak a child’s curiosity.
