Wichita building collapse injures 11

WICHITA, Kansas (KSN) – A building collapse happened late Wednesday in the 1300 block of West May.

The collapse happened at the DCCCA Women’s Recovery Center.

DCCCA is an organization founded to help individuals with drug and alcohol problems achieve a better quality of life.

Crews on scene found 11 people who were inside the building when the ceiling collapsed.

Dispatch said all victims received minor injuries, the structure is now stable and nobody was left inside.

Nine of the 11 patients were transported to the hospital.
