Pedestrian hit after two car collision in Springfield

Victim is expected to survive his injuries

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A 35-year old man was rushed to the hospital after he was hit by a car that collided with another vehicle in Springfield Thursday night.

Springfield Police Lt. Brian Keenan told 22News the cars collided at the intersection of Saint James Avenue and Page Boulevard at 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

“One of the cars veered off and hit a pedestrian in the crosswalk,” Lt. Keenan said.

He described the victim’s injuries as “non-life threatening.”

The accident is under investigation by the Springfield police Traffic Bureau.

No citations have been issued so far.
