Rescues follow Sunday’s severe storms

(NBC News) – Severe storms left a wake of destruction in their path from South Dakota to Texas over the weekend.

Residents of Delmont, South Dakota are trying to cope in the aftermath of a tornado that smashed through the town on Sunday.

Several injuries were reported and the town was left without power and utilities.

Rescuers scrambled to save those who could not escape raging high water in Sanger, Texas, while in nearby Krum a woman was airlifted right out of her door.
