Bus to Boston explodes into flames

No one was hurt in the incident

NEWTON, Mass. (WWLP) – A disabled bus exploded into flames on the side of the Massachusetts Turnpike earlier Monday evening.

The Bolt bus was inbound to Boston from New York City with 47 passengers aboard when the driver noticed smoke and pulled over.

People were evacuated and minutes later, an explosion blew out windows and panels and sent debris flying.

No one was hurt in the incident, but eastbound turnpike traffic was backed up for miles.
