Families celebrated Mothers Day at Look Park

Look Park is a non-profit

FLORENCE, Mass. (WWLP) – On Sunday, families from all over western Mass. celebrated what was a beautiful Mother’s Day at Look Park in Florence.

Look Park Executive Director Shawn Porter told 22News a day like today can bring a few thousand people through the gates.

There were people enjoying the mini golf course and others splashing around the water park to cool off.

Porter said it’s been a great start to their season, especially after such a rough winter, when many people stayed indoors. “This winter was brutal. It was just cold and snowy and nobody really wanted to go outside at all. But once the weather broke and everything started blooming it was like everybody came outside. This weekend with it being pretty much like an August weekend, we’ve seen some great numbers of people coming in,” said Porter.

Look Park is a non-profit so every dollar you spend there goes directly back into the park to maintain the attractions and help keep it clean and beautiful.

Look Park is planning to open their popular bumper boat attraction this coming weekend.
