Two injured in Southwick motorcycle accident

SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) – Two motorcycle riders were hurt when they collided in Southwick.

It happened just after 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon.

Southwick Police Officer Paul Miles told 22News a motorcycle was pulling out of the Pioneer Valley Live Steamers parking lot at 108 Hillside Road.

A van stopped in the road to let the motorcycle pull out, but a second motorcycle behind the van tried to pass the van and the two motorcycles hit.

Both riders were taken to the hospital, one to Noble Hospital, the other to Baystate Medical Center. Both were wearing a helmet and both are expected to live.

One rider is from East Granby, CT, the other is from Avon, CT.
