Two hurt in head on crash in West Springfield

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two people were hurt this weekend in a serious accident in West Springfield.

West Springfield Police Captain Michael Banas told 22News it happened at around 11 o’clock Saturday morning at the intersection of Morgan Road and Piper Cross Road.

Two cars collided head on. Both drivers, a 55 year old man and a 31 year old woman were hurt and taken to the hospital.

Captain Banas told 22News one driver has a broken leg, the other and the other had to go through some type of surgery.

He said both cars were seriously damaged.
