Over 200 attend 4th annual “Black Tie and Sneakers Gala”

This is one of the club's largest fundraisers of the year

CHICOPEE Mass. (WWLP) – The Boys & Girls Club of Chicopee held their 4th annual “Black Tie & Sneakers Gala” Saturday night. More than 200 people attended Saturday’s event at the Castle of Knights.

Guests were encouraged to wear sneakers to honor and celebrate the youth of Chicopee. Club leaders were recognized for their service to both the Chicopee community, and the Boys & Girl’s Club.

One man knows first hand how much children benefit from the organization.

Thomas Charette, who is on the board of directors, told 22News, “Myself coming full circle being a club kid, and now I just want to give back and help the kids out in our community that really need it.”

This is one of the club’s largest fundraisers of the year. The Boys & Girl’s Club helps young people in need reach their full potential in their community.
