CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A search by air and on land has so far been unsuccessful in locating a 91 year-old man who has been missing for days. Chicopee Police Ofc. Mike Wilk notified 22News that a state police helicopter and a private drone are among the tools used in the search for Lawrence Cinq-Mars.

Cinq-Mars disappeared on Friday night. His car was found in the parking lot of the Final Vinyl store on Grattan Street in Chicopee Falls. Wilk says that police have extensively searched along the banks of the nearby Chicopee River between the Deady and Davitt Bridges, but have not found any sign of the elderly man.

Wilk urges people not to go looking for Cinq-Mars along the river, due to the higher-than-average water levels and extremely swift currents. He says that all city police officers have the missing man’s photo, and they have been in communication with other police departments. They have also been in touch with Cinq-Mars’s family.

If you do see Lawrence Cinq-Mars, or know where he may be, you are urged to call Chicopee Police at (413) 594-1700, or dial 911.
