(KOAA) Some Pueblo, Colorado residents call it artwork, others think it’s an eyesore, but the shoe tree along the Front Range Trail is here to stay.
Mike Taft, the Pueblo Urban Forestry Program Coordinator, said the shoe tree started a few years ago and has been growing ever since.
“Definitely a unique tree,” said Taft.
Aaron Bloomer often walks along the river on the Front Range Trail, that runs right behind Pueblo’s City Park, and noticed it two years ago.
“I come for walks, bring my kids down here, and one day all of a sudden a couple years ago it was just filled with shoes. You looked up and it was like wow, where’d that come from?” recalled Bloomer.
