“Paint Night” for Air National Guard cancer survivor

TSGT Jen McGrath is surviving brain cancer

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – At Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield, members of the 104th fighter wing organized a “Paint Night” Friday night, to help a guards woman surviving cancer.
Tech Sergeant Jennifer McGrath is in the process of surviving brain cancer, and she told 22News Friday night that the support from the guard has been amazing.

“It’s surprising how many people have reached out. Trying to help myself and my family during this time, And it really has been amazing, and I’m very grateful,” said McGrath. “Ever since my first trip to the hospital, everyone has been incredible. They’ve been reaching out to give me a ride. Cards in the mail. Making meals for us. Really, anything and everything that I’ve needed.

Jennifer McGrath has been on leave from her teaching job at Ludlow High School, and just went back recently to see her students. She’s been a member of the 104th Fighter Wing for seven years.

Her friends at the base have set up a website to help Jen. https://www.crowdrise.com/jdmcgrath/fundraiser
