Springfield fire forced three from their homes

The cause of the fire has not been determined

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Three people need to find another place to stay Monday night after a fire in Springfield’s Forest Park neighborhood.

Springfield Fire spokesman Dennis Leger told 22News the fire at 60 Scott Street started around 10 o’clock Monday night. He says the fire began in a second floor bedroom.

Two adults and one child will not be able to stay in the building, and are being assisted by the Red Cross. All other residents in the home were evacuated but allowed to return.

Leger said they are still trying to figure out the cause of the fire.
