SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WKRN) – A six-year-old boy found a large boa constrictor at Garner Park in Springfield on Sunday.

Smokey Barn News reports Linda Fleenor took her grandson Braxdon Bjork, of Greenbrier, to the park to explore.

Braxdon was wandering along Sulphur Creek when he noticed the big, bright yellow boa.

The snake, which was dead, measured over 10 feet long. It also appeared to have a full belly.

“We hike all the time,” Fleenor told Smokey Barn. “Every Sunday,” Braxdon added.

Fleenor made a few calls to officials but since it’s Sunday everything was closed.

There is no word on how the snake got there at this time.
