AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – An important occasion Saturday to help push winter further behind us: the opening day for Six Flags New England in Agawam.
Crowds came from everywhere to participate in this western Massachusetts rite of spring. First day visitors showed they were determined to put the miserable winter behind them
Christopher Robare of Westfield said, “It’s good news for New England, for us, for everyone who stayed home through this entire winter. It’s the worst one we ever had, it’s over, I think it’s over finally.”
Roller coaster fans will have to wait until next month for the still-under-construction Wicked Cyclone, the updated version of the park’s perennial favorite Cyclone, which ended its decades-long run last summer.
