Motorcyclist injured in accident in Palmer

The driver of the car was cited for failure to yield

PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – A motorcycle rider is expected to live after getting hit by a car in Palmer.

Palmer Police Lt. Christopher Burns told 22News the accident happened around 5:45 Saturday night at 1519 North Main Street.

Lt. Burns said the motorcycle rider was traveling west, when he was cut off by a car traveling east that was turning into the Friendly’s restaurant parking lot.

The man was thrown from the motorcycle, and suffered serious leg injuries; luckily, he was wearing his helmet.

The driver of the car was cited for failure to yield.
