BSO to host open house to celebrate new music director

Nelsons will lead the BSO and Tanglewood Festival Chorus in a free performance

BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Symphony Orchestra is hosting a free open house to celebrate new music director Adris Nelsons.

Nelsons will lead the BSO and Tanglewood Festival Chorus in a free performance during the open house Sunday afternoon at Symphony Hall. He will also take questions from the audience, along with BSO Managing Director Mark Volpe.

The Open House will also feature performances by the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra alumni of the Tanglewood Music Center, and student ensembles from Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory and New England Conservatory.
