WEST STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. (WWLP) – New York state police are now on the lookout for a driver of a Toyota Prius who Massachusetts troopers say was seen speeding down the Mass Pike at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.

Massachusetts State Police Sgt. George Hamilton told 22News that shortly before 10:00 Tuesday morning, troopers began receiving reports of a black Prius with Massachusetts plates traveling westbound on the Mass Pike at extremely high rates of speed. He said the driver was going “aggressively and erratically” using both lanes of the westbound side of the highway,

Troopers did spot the Prius in West Stockbridge a short time after the reports came in. They tried to make the driver stop, but the car continued on across the state line into New York, where troopers there have been advised about the vehicle.
