Suspect wanted in armed Springfield home invasion

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A man was hurt in an armed home invasion in Springfield. Police are still searching for the suspect.

Sgt. John Delaney told 22News at around 3:15 Saturday afternoon, a man forced his way into a home at 23 Boyd Street.

The man had a knife and was wearing a black mask and a black hoodie. Once inside the home, he began fighting with the people inside, slashing at least one person with the knife.

The suspect then got away. The victim is expected to live. The suspect is about 5-foot-11-inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.
