CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Good Friday is a Christian holiday that marks the day that Jesus Christ was crucified. This year, it is being observed by Catholics and Protestants on April 3, though Orthodox Christians will observe the holiday on April 10. It is not an official federal holiday, nor is it a state holiday in Massachusetts (though it is in Connecticut), as such, most public services remain available.
