State, local police searching for missing 17 year-old

CONCORD, Mass. (WWLP) – Police in eastern Massachusetts are concerned about the safety of a 17 year-old girl who ran away from home on Wednesday. The State Police Air Wing, National Park Service Rangers, local police, firefighters, and several units of police dogs have been assisting in the search for Marissa L. Medeiros of Concord. The FBI may also become involved in the search for the teen.

According to a Concord Police news release sent to 22News, Medeiros left her home on Garrison Road at around 4:00 Wednesday afternoon, and has not been seen since. Police received information that she could be trying to leave the state.

Medeiros is a white teen with long brown hair, which she may be wearing in a ponytail. When she was last seen, she was wearing blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt. She may also be carrying a black backpack.
