InFocus: Bishop Rozanski discusses future of Catholic Church

Topics include the future of a regional Catholic High School, Pope Francis' visit in September and the growth of parishes in the region.

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Bishop Mitchell Rozanski was installed as the 9th Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield in August 2014.

This week on 22News InFocus we’ll have an in-depth interview with the Bishop. We’ll discuss his transition to the church’s leader in Western Massachusetts, his plans for the Springfield Diocese, the future of Cathedral High School, his opinion of Pope Francis and his hopes for the future of the church.

The last decade has seen many changes within the Catholic church around the world and in Western Massachusetts. Locally, many churches have closed as parishes see their membership dwindle. He will talk about how practicing Catholics can inspire other people to join the church.
