Garage fire in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD,  Mass. (WWLP) –  Springfield firefighters were able to quickly put out a garage fire early Friday.

Springfield fire spokesman Dennis Leger told 22News the fire started in the garage at 137 Fair Oak Road, around 3:40 a.m. Friday. Leger said the cause was electrical.

The fire caused about $5,000 dollars in damage.

Everyone was able to get out safely.
