Phone used to order food leads to robbery suspect arrest

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A cell phone used to order food from a Howland restaurant and bar led to the arrest of a robbery suspect Sunday evening.

According to police reports, a delivery driver for The Rig Restaurant in Howland was delivering food to 2331 Rogers Avenue in Warren on Sunday around 5:30 P.M

The driver told police that when he was close to where he delivered the food, a man wearing all black came from behind an apartment and put a gun in his face.

The suspect ordered the driver to hand over the food and his money.

Police located Keiry Patterson, a man who matched the suspect’s description, on N. Feederle Dr. According to the reports, the victim positively identified Patterson as the man who robbed him.

Officers found in Patterson’s pocket $84 in cash, which the driver said was stolen. When dispatchers called a cell phone number that was used to order the food, an iPhone that was in Patterson’s pocket began ringing, according to police.

Patterson was arrested and booked into the Trumbull County Jail.
