Connecticut casino bill advances to the Senate

Proposal would add up to 3 new casinos in Connecticut

HARTFORD, Conn. (WWLP) – Connecticut’s casino bill has moved forward. The state’s Public Safety Committee voted 15-8 (2 were absent) to advance the bill to the state senate.

The proposal would add up to three new casinos in Connecticut. One is targeted for the area between Hartford and Springfield to directly compete with MGM.

The next step in the process is for Connecticut’s senate to vote on the bill.  This has to happen by June 3rd, but could occur sooner.
