The results in the Israeli election could change the way the Obama Administration deals with a key ally opposed to Iran nuclear negotiations.

(NBC News) Despite his anti-Iran speech in the U.S. two weeks ago, polls show the Israeli Prime Minister’s job could be in jeopardy.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cast his ballot this morning, and so did his opponent Isaac Herzog. Polls show Herzog leading.

Netanyahu made a last-minute push for support, promising no Palestinian state on his watch.

Two weeks ago today, he was on Capitol Hill criticizing U.S. negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.
