World’s oldest living cat celebrates 27th birthday

Tiffany Two was born on March 13, 1988

SAN DIEGO, CA (CNN) – Me-wow! She may look like an ordinary cat, but this feline is anything but! She’s a whopping 27 years old, and she’s also a world record holder.

Actually, she’s the world’s oldest living cat. The feline, named Tiffany Two, celebrated her 27th birthday this weekend with loved ones.

According to Guinness World Records, the cat’s age is equal to 125 human years. Tiffany two was born March 13, 1988 in San Diego.

Her owner bought her for 10 dollars from a local pet store when the feline was just six weeks old. The owner says, despite the cat’s old age, she still manages to get around well and even still has good vision and hearing.

Tiffany’s owner, Sharron Voorhees, says: “she ate dry food almost all her life. It’s only recently that she started eating moist food […] she is very devoted to me. She used to get so emotional when I would pet her. She is very much a one person cat, and I’m that person.”

Guinness confirmed the feline’s place in the record book last month.

While Tiffany Two is the oldest living cat, she’s not the oldest cat of all time. That title currently belongs to a Texas cat named Creme Puff, who lived 38 years and three days.

Creme Puff died back in 2005.
