High school student accused of making hit list

"Data Walls" create controversy in Holyoke

WINCHESTER, Mass (CNN) — Some parents are on edge after being notified that their child’s name was on a hit list.

Police in Winchester say a high school student told a school service provider he was targeting some of his fellow classmates.

Officials say families of students listed were contacted out of an abundance of caution. School administrators say they plan to re-examine the school’s safety plans.

They’re also looking for better ways to deal with the emotional needs of students, parents and staff.

It’s not clear if the student responsible will face any charges for the list.
