Power restored in Springfield after another outage

Wind gusts knocked tree limbs onto wires

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Power has been restored in Springfield after an outage left more than 1,000 residents without power.

22News spoke with Tricia Modifica, an Eversource spokeswoman. She said strong wind gusts caused tree limbs to fall down on wires near Dickinson Street in Springfield around 6:15pm.  She said two different power lines were affected. This was the second major power outage in Springfield this weekend.
