Springfield man stabbed in Hartford nightclub dies

The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A stabbing inside a Hartford nightclub early Saturday morning has taken the life of one man, Hartford police say.

According to Deputy Chief Brian Foley, an unidentified 24-year-old man from Springfield, Mass. was stabbed inside Club Symmetry Vine on Union Place around 1:30 a.m. Officers say the victim was found in a side room, stabbed in the upper-right part of his chest with an unknown object.

The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital with life-threatening injuries, Foley says. He says the victim was in surgery and in critical condition around 5:30 a.m., but was later pronounced dead.

Police say no witnesses were located inside the nightclub, and there are no suspects.
