Springfield drug sweep leads to four arrests

Springfield Police spearheaded the investigation

SPRIGNFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Four people were arrested Friday in Springfield as part of an ongoing investigation into drug dealing and crime in the city.

Springfield Police, along with State Police, spearheaded the investigation.

The following are three of those arrested and their charges:

  • Jose Luis Rolon, 28, of Springfield, charged with distribution of a Class A narcotic and distribution of cocaine.
  • Angel Andres Aponte Jr., 33, of Springfield, charged with a warrant out of Holyoke District Court warrant for shoplifting.
  • Curtis Lamont Haynes, 39, of Springfield, charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Also arrested as part of the same operation was a 30-year-old Springfield man. Charges were still being processed; his name has not yet been released.
