Pets saved from Ludlow mobile home fire

No one was hurt, animals are staying with neighbors

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – A couple and their child have been forced out of their Ludlow home, following a fire Friday morning.

Ludlow Fire Captain Ryan Pease told 22News that they are not sure what caused the fire at the mobile home in the Mountainview Park complex on Miller Street. No one was hurt, and with the help of firefighters and neighbors, the family’s dog and birds were saved.

Neighbor Jami Mercolino said she is heartbroken about what happened, but she is housing the family’s animals right now.

The mobile home had been in the family for 35 years.
