WESTFIELD, Mass (WWLP) – In their annual ‘rights of spring’ tradition, State Senator Don Humason and legislators throughout Western Massachusetts got together for their Legislators Pancake Brunch at Pomeroy Sugar House in Westfield.
This year, Sen. Humason extended an invitation for mayors to join the breakfast club.
It’s a 15 year tradition that celebrates agriculture in Western Mass., and it’s the only time throughout the year the legislators can gather in a non-state session.
“This is meant to be a casual gathering of Western Massachusetts legislators, collegues and friends, no politics, just pancakes and sausages,” said Sen. Humason.
The Westfield Legislative Breakfast is a tradition begun by former State Senator Michael Knapik, who was later succeeded by Sen. Humason.
