Fruits That Will Get Sweeter if You Leave Them Out

Berries – Freeze them on a tray
Bananas – Freeze them out of the peel


  • Leafy Greens – rinse and dry
  • Avocados – Leave it on the counter to ripen, speed up the process by putting it in a paper bag
  • Tomatoes – Always on the countertop, don’t refrigerate, they lose flavor and rot faster

Don’t Put in the Fridge
Garlic, sweet potatoes, potatoes, onions, shallots
Store root vegetables in a cool dark place

General Tips
Buy only what you need, so it doesn’t go bad
