Suspect arrested for Chicopee apartment break-in

James Dottin of Chicopee charged with larceny, B&E, unarmed robbery

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee police arrested a 36 year-old man Thursday morning, shortly after he allegedly broke into an apartment.

According to Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk, James Dottin of Chicopee is being charged with larceny, unarmed robbery, and breaking and entering following the incident on Sergeant Avenue.

Wilk says that police were called to the apartment at around 10:15 A.M. for a report of a larceny. When they got there, they discovered a victim who said Dottin had broken in, and had just left.

A short time later, another officer found Dottin walking on Broadway, where he was arrested.

In addition to the previously mentioned charges, Dotton was also wanted on a warrant at the time of his arrest.
