Two Oklahoma law enforcement officers and a distraught dog groomer holding them at bay with a rifle were injured Monday in an exchange of gunfire.

(KFOR) Two law enforcement officers were shot during a standoff in Sulphur, Oklahoma on Monday.

Initial reports indicate a female with a gun barricaded herself inside the Super Mutt Dog Grooming Salon around 3 p.m.

Authorities said the woman was distraught over relationship issues. Her partner called for police to check on her.

Around 7 p.m., officials said a trooper was negotiating with the suspect who was reportedly threatening to kill herself.

About an hour later, gunfire erupted.
