Domestic violence 911 calls against a NFL player released

The woman showed no signs of injury

(KSNW) – 911 calls released Monday paint another picture of the incident that prompted response from Wichita, Kansas police involving Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle. It began as a domestic violence with a weapon call.

Police say when officers arrived at the scene Tuesday at the WaterWalk Hotel, the woman showed no signs of injury, and officers never found a weapon.

After reportedly finding marijuana in Randle’s hotel room, Wichita police issued the 23-year-old a notice to appear on suspicion of possession. Days later, police dropped the misdemeanor charge.

“There were some inconsistencies, statements that were given to people out there, there were some people that were not contacted that night,” said Lt. James Esponiza of the Wichita Police Department.
