CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Western Massachusetts Powerball players are feeling lucky. At an estimated $380 million, Saturday night’s jackpot is the sixth largest in the history of the multi-state lottery game
Powerball ticket sales at the Corner Store in on Front Street in Chicopee are better than they have been in months. Manager James Patel told 22News that Powerball fever has intensified in the past few days.
“They use more money to play; they don’t want to see the chance. I have a lot of people, they come in in groups. They invest $100 bucks, $100-200 bucks at a time for buying the tickets,” Patel said.
Players are looking forward to the Powerball drawing at 10:30 Saturday night, and the $50 million Megabucks drawing Friday night.
