Bud Ad Sparks Backlash
Craft brewers are up in arms over Budweiser's "Brewed The Hard Way" Super Bowl.

(KUSA) When Budweiser took a shot at the craft-beer industry in a Super Bowl ad Sunday night, some craft beer brewers got fired up.

In retaliation, one Denver brewery made a new batch of beer — specifically, pumpkin peach ale, the type ridiculed in the ad.

In the spot, Budweiser says their beer is “not brewed to be fussed over” — and cuts to a shot of three hipster-looking men sniffing their tasting glasses, with the words: “It’s brewed for drinking, not dissecting.”

Ironically — Anhueser-Busch recently purchased Elysian Brewing in Seattle — which also happens to make a pumpkin peach – and pecan – ale.
