Phoenix airport filled with Pats fans, looking to get home

Snowstorm could delay some travelers' trip home

PHOENIX (WWLP) – Long lines of Patriots fans are waiting for flights home at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport, less than 24 hours after their team won Super Bowl XLIX in spectacular fashion.

22News reporter Kait Walsh was advised to arrive at the airport three hours prior to her flight, due to the high volume of travelers using the airport.

To complicate matters, some of those passengers may be delayed on their trip home due to the snowstorm affecting the Northeast. Most departures were getting off on time as of noontime, but many of those who are traveling are picking up connecting flights, and the majority of arrivals at Bradley International Airport have either been cancelled or delayed.
