WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WWLP) – If you are planning to travel by air on Monday, your plans may be set back quite a bit. A majority of flights leaving from and arriving at Bradley International Airport were either delayed or cancelled in the morning and early afternoon hours, though a small handful of flights remain on time.
While the airport remained open, it was up to the airlines to decide whether they would fly, and most opted not to.
Many people remained in limbo waiting to see if they could move on with their travels. As of 3:00 P.M., 58 flights departing from Bradley International Airport had been cancelled. 41 arrivals were cancelled, and there was one delayed arrival and departure. James Rogers, a traveler from California, told 22News that his flights were cancelled multiple times over the past two days, and he’s hoping the runway will be clear to take off for warmer weather soon.
“I guess it’s just expected out here in the Northeast. I mean yeah, certainly we don’t have these weather issues in San Francisco, but yeah I’m looking forward to getting back there,” Rogers said.
Bradley International Airport had crews out throughout the day trying to keep the runway clear and maintained.
