House party for the Super Bowl game

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Not everybody enjoys the bar scene and luckily, there’s many other ways to watch the Super Bowl.

Some people preferred to invite their family and friends over their house for an old fashioned Super Bowl watch party. A family of Pats fans in Springfield cooked up some good party food and gathered around the TV at their home on Birch Glen Drive to watch the big game. House parties are obviously a much less expensive alternative to paying upwards of $9,000 for a ticket to the Super Bowl.

We asked one fan what she’ll remember most about the Patriots super season.

Kim Censabella of Springfield told 22News, “The Edelman pass in the last game. Blunt couldn’t be stopped. And the Gronkowski, go Patriots!”

They told 22News a lot of planning and preparation went into making their Super Bowl house party a success.
