SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Baystate Medical Center began their observance of heart month Sunday.
Each Sunday during February, Baystate Medical Center’s heart specialists present a program about a particular heart problem. The typically well attended lecture series began with a program dealing with “Heart Failure.” Most of those attending had been here before.
Eileen Fyzenkevez of Chicopee told 22News, “Maybe I’ll learn something new. I’ve had one heart surgery; I don’t want to have another one. My doctor told me a lot of stuff and I may learn something new, you never know when you come.”
The heart and vascular lectures are held every Sunday during February at Baystate Medical Center’s education center on Whitney Avenue in Holyoke.
