Four homeless after fire in Springfield

The Red Cross is assisting those who've been displaced

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – There were no injuries but at least four people are without a home after a fire in Springfield.

Springfield Fire spokesman Dennis Leger told 22News firefighters were called to 931 Worthington Street around 9 o’clock Sunday night. It was an eight-family apartment building. The fire was believed to have started in a bedroom.

The Red Cross is currently assisting those who’ve been displaced.
